New Delhi, May 16, 2022: Girl Empowerment Mission (GEM), the flagship CSR initiative of NTPC Ltd in empowering young girls, to realise their dreams has achieved the newer heights of success.

The Country’s largest power generator- NTPC Ltd., with a present group installed capacity of 68,982 MW, declared the financial results for FY22 on 20 May 2022.

NTPC Group generated 361 Billion Units and recorded highest ever annual generation in FY22 as compared to 314 Billion Units in FY21, an increase of ~15%. NTPC’s standalone gross generation in FY22 is 299 Billion Units as compared to 271 Billion Units in the corresponding previous year, registering an increase of ~10%.

New Delhi, 31st May 2022: NTPC Ltd, India’s largest integrated energy producer has issued a renewed Biodiversity Policy 2022 to establish a comprehensive vision and guiding principle for conservation, restoration, and enhancement of biodiversity.

India’s leading energy utility, NTPC Group installed RE capacity crosses 2 GW with commissioning of the country's largest floating solar PV project of 92MW on the reservoir of Kayamkulam Gas Power Station, Alappuzha District, Kerala.

NTPC commissions India’s largest floating solar PV project of 100 MW at Ramagundam, Peddapalli District, Telangana. The project is spread over 600 acres of reservoir. This would help avoid 4.36 million Ton CO2e during the life of the project.

NTPC has been recognized as one of the “Most Preferred Workplaces of 2022” in the premier edition of “Most Preferred Workplaces 2022” organized by Team Marksmen in association with India Today. The esteemed award was received by Shri Dillip Kumar Patel, Director (HR), Shri Munish Jauhari, RED (West-1), and Shri Anil Kumar Jadli GM HR at a function held in Mumbai on 1st July, 2022.

NTPC Group has set its target of 60 GW Renewable energy capacity by 2032. As a step towards achieving this target, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC, has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Government of Rajasthan for Development of 10 GW Ultra Mega Renewable Energy Power Park in Rajasthan.

NTPC RE Limited (NTPC REL) signed an MoU with National Fertilizers Limited (NFL) to collaborate in the field of Renewable Energy & Green Chemicals and mutually explore opportunities for the supply of 90 MW RE-RTC (Round The Clock) power in phases (30 MW in Phase-1 & 60 MW in Phase-2) and synthesizing 50 TPD Green Ammonia for captive use for production of Industrial products by NFL.
